A Look at Implications of the PATH Act

Tony Perricelli, CPA, Member of Scott and Company, had an article recently published in the Greenville Business Magazine. His article discusses the implications of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes of 2015 Act (PATH Act) that was signed into law by President Obama on December 18^th, 2015. While the PATH Act includes several previously temporary provisions, Perricelli discusses what this act accomplishes that is of particular interest to businesses. Specifically, he dissects enhanced Section 179 Expensing, the Research and Development Credit, 15-year Cost Recovery and several temporary extensions, such as, bonus depreciation and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit.
